How do we treat, control,  and prevent this flea problem?  First, we need to treat your pet with some form of flea preventative.. There are a number of  ways to accomplish this, ie oral pills that kill fleas within 30 minutes, spot-on-topical flea medications, even shampoos and dips. Alot of these treatments can be done by the owner, but flea bite dermatitis should be done under the care of a Cambridge Veterinarian.

Second, the house, condo, or apartment needs to be cleaned and treated. Did you know that 10 female fleas can lay 10000 eggs with in a very short period of time.
